Close Up: MGS HD Collection PAL Limited Edition
This is the PAL Limited Edition of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, for PS3. 8000 of these were made, in addition to 5000 for the Xbox 360. This version was exclusively sold at online UK retailer Zavvi.
The box itself looks nice: the most notable thing about it is the sheer size and the colorful print on it. It really catches your eye.
The box folds open, and the contents are organized in two layers: the first thing you see is the t-shirt and the artbook, the latter one being held in place by two fairly flimsy pieces of paper.
The t-shirt looks pretty cool judging from available pictures, but for collecting purposes we left it in its packaging.
The artbook is great, it contains 248 pages of colorful drawings by Yoji Shinkawa and Ashley Wood, most being full spreads. The book is divided into three chapters: MGS2, MGS3 and Peace Walker. Most artwork we had already seen before, but there is also some new stuff.
The second layer of the box looks like this:
The steelbook looks pretty nice, it has the same design as the big box: three colored bars with the heads of each game’s protagonist on it.
Here are some pages from the artbook, to give you an idea of its contents:

AWEsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jelousy. In spades.
Damn EU got the Steelbook case?? I forgot who was the artist since he was the one that did the new art for the HD Collections.
Goodstuff!! and the Artbook seems to be the same in all versions, US, EU and JPN
Except that the Japanese one is thick, and really REALLY thick.

Yeah, it comes with an empty steelbook, and the regular case as well, as you can see on the picture. That Japanese book looks nice!
